Project Reflection
What final product did you create for our exhibition? Are you proud of it? Why or why not? What was the process that you went through to create your presentation? What did you learn from the process and about the information you are presenting on? What was a challenge you faced while creating your display?
After these past two weeks, what is your definition of sustainability and what it means to be an environmental steward?

The product that I did was a display on transportation. My partner and I
made a display on how public transportation is better than regular transportation,
such as cars. Me and my partner made one side with lots of cars that were polluting
and all the plants were dying. On the other side there is trees and lots of grass an one
bus going through the middle of all of it.I am very proud of it because I worked very
hard to finish and it came out better than I thought.

The process that my partner and I went through was... I first though about how it was
suppose to talk about how it was going to look. Then after that I had to find out what
I was going to use for the modle. When I found that out I had to figure out where I was
going to get those matirials, then I was done.

3. What is an enzyme? What is a catalyst?:
an enzyme is a type of catalysts that breaks down food in our stomach.

4. What is cellulosic material?: parts of plants we don't eat.

5. Why would cellulosic ethanol be more sustainable and efficient than biofuels using corn or sugar cane?:

Searching For An Answer

I looked, I wondered and I wished
when was it coming and from where?
I hear it coming but I can't see it
It's there
I know it but I can't see it
What is it?
I dont know,
how did it get there?
I wonder what it is.
I am looking but
I dont see anything,
I hope it's not
dangerous.
What is it?
Give me an answer.
A. Define and provide examples of the following concepts:

6. overshoot (as it relates to supply and demand): when we take more from the earth than it can give us.

B. What does this equation mean?
area x bioproductivity = biocapacity [SUPPLY]
population x consumption per person x footprint intensity = ecological footprint:
the supply is how much the earth can supply us with and the demand is how much we take from the earth.

C. What is the significance of the year 1987?:that was the year that we began to take more from the earth than it could give us.
